Once more I have the sad task of reporting the passing of a friend to many in the village. Gill Tarbox was the Landlady of the Fox and Hounds Inn which she ran with her son Jamie and Sioned until they sold the pub earlier this year.
Gill collapsed at a barbecue party in the village on Sunday afternoon and was taken by ambulance to Banbury hospital then to the John Radcliffe Infirmary where she died on Sunday night.
Gill was a warm and cheerful presence at the pub and will be remembered with affection by her many friends and the customers who visited the “F&H” for its great atmosphere and cuisine.
Our love and thoughts are with Jamie, Sioned, Jamie’s brother Grant and Gill’s wider family, especially her grandchildren upon whom she doted.
